OnePlus 9 Lite Powered by Efficient Snapdragon 870 to launch in March alongside OnePlus 9 Pro
OnePlus 9 Lite is going to launch alongside Oneplus 9 Pro. The expected price of the device is going to blow your mind for sure.
While it has started to offer cheaper models in the mid-range category under a new series called Nord, these phones have a handful of tradeoffs and even lack some of the features that are associated with OnePlus phones.
However, all is not lost for OnePlus. We have seen many rumors that Oneplus is trying to win back the hearts of dissatisfied fans with its upcoming phone,
ONEPLUS, which started as the flagship killer company slowly started increasing its device price year by year.
The Chinese manufacturer which used to be a favorite among tech enthusiasts is no longer the brand many people fell in love with when it entered the mobile phone market seven years ago.
OnePlus 9 Lite Specs, Expected Features
OnePlus 9 Lite will be a toned-down version of the top models of the series that goes against the likes of Galaxy S20 FE, Mi 10T, and Pixel 4a. OnePlus is said to be coming with a ‘Lite’ version finally, to be called OnePlus 9 Lite.
The OnePlus 9 Lite launch will happen alongside OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro.
OnePlus 9 Lite will reportedly with Snapdragon 870, the newly announced Qualcomm SoC, a lite version of the flagship Snapdragon 888.
The tipster claimed the device India availability will soon be confirmed, and it will come in two models: LE2100 and LE2101.
Display & Battery
Coming to leaked OnePlus 9 Lite specs, reports say it will sport a 6.5-inch 90Hz / 120Hz AMOLED panel and a 4500mAh battery that can be paired with 65W fast charging.
Processor, RAM, and Storage
It has been reported that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be powered by Snapdragon 870 5G SoC, a processor practically made for flagship killers.
Coming to RAM, the device will be available in two variants – a base model with 6GB and a higher configuration with 8GB, both being LPDDR5.
It would be good if these devices come with 128GB, 256GB of UFS 3.0/UFS 3.1 storage.
Cameras
Coming to the camera part OnePlus is expected to go with a similar configuration as that of the Oneplus 8. So a 48MP main camera, a 16MP ultrawide camera, an 8MP Telephoto camera, and a 5MP Macro camera.
The selfie camera can remain a 16MP sensor.
Other features
We expect it to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. 5G, NFC, Dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, and Android 11 are all expected too. We don’t expect an official IP rating but it can at least be splashproof. We would love to see stereo speakers.
Launch
Complete OnePlus 9 series launch is expected to be in March.
Price
OnePlus 9 Pro will come with a price tag that will either be equal to or greater than Rs:59,999 ($899).
The OnePlus 9 will follow suit with a price tag that is at most Rs:32,999($499) with fewer or toned down features. This means the “Lite” model should be the cheapest of the three.
But there is one more thing Motorola has already set a high bar with the Motorola Edge S which has a starting price that converts to about $310. It will be wishful thinking to expect 9 Lite to beat that.
So if OnePlus plans to win over lost fans while gaining new ones, it will do so with a price tag of Rs:24,999($399) for the base model (6+128GB) of the OnePlus 9 Lite. W
While the 8GB RAM version with 128GB of storage should sell for Rs:26,999($439).
